The Health 2.0 meetup (one of my favorites in the DC area) returned to The Barking Dog in Bethesda. Dr. Mona Siddiqui, the Chief Data Officer for the Department of Health and Human Services shared her experiences in building an enterprise wide data management strategy at HHS. She discussed their governance structure, streamlining of data use agreements and an analytics strategy that provides business value to the department. Her overview of the complexities of managing many, many datasets across multiple organizations was interesting as was the collaborative way they are working with partners to use data to drive solutions.
